On the May 17 episode of MBC’s “Point of Omniscient Interfere” (also known as “The Manager”), (G)I-DLE‘s Minnie surprised viewers with a rare glimpse into her luxurious life and elite background as the daughter of a tycoon-level Thai family.

The episode featured the members of (G)I-DLE (now rebranded into “I-DLE”) gathering for a housewarming and team dinner at Minnie’s home, which she recently moved into. Her spacious residence boasts panoramic views of Seoul, a central courtyard, an elegant dining space, and an outdoor area overlooking the city skyline, instantly catching everyone’s attention.

As the members admired Minnie’s home, host Song Eun-i remarked, “We’ve talked about Soyeon’s copyright earnings and Yuqi’s Chinese revenue, but Minnie is on another level.” In fact, Minnie is known to be from an upper-class family in Thailand.

Yuqi backed this up, recalling a visit to Minnie’s house in Thailand, stating, “I’ve never seen anything like it. There were multiple buildings, a personal gym, and even a park.” Hearing this, Minnie added casually, “We have three houses there. Our extended family all live together.”

When asked about her largest amount of allowance, Minnie calmly explained, “I never got a fixed allowance. I used my dad’s credit card. I’m not sure what the limit was, but I used it sparingly.” She further shared, “When I first came to Korea as a minor, I couldn’t get my own card, so I used my dad’s card to cover living expenses.”

Minnie then revealed her family background, sharing, “My mom runs a resort in Thailand, and my dad is the vice president of the first-ever bank in Thailand.” Despite this, she emphasized her financial independence, adding, “Since I started earning my own income, I haven’t touched my parents’ money at all.”
